Presso la nostra fattoria didattica è possibile svolgere il Servizio Volontario Europeo. Si tratta di uno stage formativo, della durata di 6-12 mesi, dedicato all'apprendimento delle tecniche dell'agricoltura biologica, del recupero del paesaggio e della realizzazione di percorsi didattici all'interno del Monumento Naturale Gole del Farfa.

Il Servizio Volontario Europeo fa parte del programma Gioventù della Commissione Europea. Lo SVE è un'opportunità per acquisire conoscenze: attraverso esperienze di apprendimento non formale, i giovani volontari migliorano o acquisiscono competenze per il loro sviluppo personale, educativo e professionale, e allo stesso tempo per la loro integrazione sociale. Lo SVE è aperto a tutti i giovani compresi tra i 18 e i 30 anni, indifferentemente dalla loro preparazione culturale, legalmente residenti nei paesi membri del programma o nei paesi partner. Un'esperienza SVE può essere svolta in vari settori: cultura, gioventù, sports, assistenza sociale, patrimonio culturale, arti, protezione civile, ambiente, cooperazione e sviluppo, etc. Nel giugno 2002, l'Associazione Lunaria di Roma e la nostra cooperativa hanno presentato un progetto congiunto di formazione nel settore agricolo ed ambientale.

La fattoria didattica Fiume Farfa offre la possibilità di inserirsi attivamente negli interventi per il recupero mirato delle valenze paesaggistiche tradizionali: siepi, muretti a secco, olivi secolari, viti maritate, alberi sparsi, sentieri e siti archeologici.

Ad oggi sono stati ospitati giovani provenienti da Belgio, Ungheria, Germania, Turchia, Francia, Grecia, Portogallo e Spagna. Tra di loro giovani laureati in storia dell'arte, geografia, biologia, agraria e architettura del paesaggio hanno scelto di partecipare a questa esperienza di apprendimento non formale per approfondire le loro conoscenze professionali.

At our educational farm you can participate in a European Voluntary Service placement. This is a formative internship lasting 6 to 12 months, dedicated to learning organic agricultural techniques, recovery of the landscape and realisation of educational themes in the Natural Monument Gole del Farfa.

The European Voluntary Service is part of the Youth program of the European Commission. It is an opportunity to acquire knowledge through non-formal learning. The volunteers can improve or gain skills for their own personal, educational and professional development, whilst at the same time for their social integration. EVS is open to anyone between 18 and 30 years old, regardless of their cultural background, who live in countries that are members of the European Union or in certain partnership countries. There are many different EVS experiences: culture, youth, sport, social assistance, cultural heritage, arts, civil defence, environment, co-operation and development, etc. In June 2002, the association Lunaria from Rome and our cooperative presented an agricultural and environmental project together.

The educational farm Fiume Farfa offers the possibility to partake in activities to conserve the traditional elements of the landscape: hedges, dry stone walls, centuries-old olive trees, trained vines, sparse trees, paths and archaeological sites.

Up to now, we have hosted volunteers from Belgium, Hungary, Germany, Turkey, France, Greece, Portugal and Spain. Amongst them were people with masters' degrees in history of art, geography, biology, agronomy and landscape gardening who chose to participate in this experience of non formal learning to enhance their professional knowledge.

Campi di lavoro

Parte degli interventi di tutela e valorizzazione del territorio delle Gole del Farfa sono stati realizzati organizzando dal 2001 campi di lavoro volontario. A queste esperienze, che si sono dimostrate di forte valenza culturale, hanno partecipato giovani provenienti da diversi paesi dell'Unione Europea e del mondo: Germania, Francia, Belgio, Olanda, Spagna, Grecia, Gran Bretagna, Svezia, Finlandia, Spagna, Svizzera, Polonia, Lituania, Repubblica Ceca, Slovacchia, Ungheria, Russia, Ucraina, Turchia, Algeria, Stati Uniti, Canada, Giappone, Nepal, Korea, Australia, Messico.

Work Camps

Part of the activities for the protection and continuous improvement of the territory of the Gorge of Farfa are being realised thanks to our voluntary workcamps. Since 2001 we have organised these workcamps which prove to have a strong intercultural value. We have hosted volunteers from all over the world: Germany, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, Greece, Great Britain, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Poland, Lithuania, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Russia, Ukraine, Turkey, Algeria, United States, Canada, Japan, Nepal, Korea, Australia and Mexico.
